i confessed in january a developing love of interior design that might just be rivaling my interest in fashion. my interest continues to grow, due in large part to some of the amazing blogs i've come to visit regularly, like bijou and boheme and haute design. i promise not to lose focus of fashion, but i hope you'll give me leeway to explore other beautiful art forms, like design, from time to time.
i have a serious crush on whitewashed spaces and i'm seriously considering painting all of my dark wood furniture a bright white. i love how clean, open, and bright mostly-white rooms feel and i'm drawn to french design whether it's contemporary elegance or a country home.
do you think these spaces are as beautiful as i do?

Those pictures are FABULOUS - and I couldn't agree more with your two blog mentions! My eye was particularly drawn towards the upholstered bed with the three silk honeysuckle pillows - AMAZ! I admit that my style tends to be a little "louder" than these whitewashed rooms, but I would die to have a little getaway home on the beach or in the country to decorate JUST like this! I definitely love the harmony of white and the other tones in the rooms. White seems to make even the subtlest bits of texture stand out... so beautiful!

Alllll these images are absolutely gorgeous. It's funny, white as default in interior design makes me nuts - but white as a CHOICE, deliberately deciding to have white walls, furniture and decor, is so so elegant. Love it!!

I absolutely LOVE whitewashed spaces, and our first apartment was evenly split-our bedroom was all white, John's study was all espresso colored wood and our kitchen was full of light birch!

This is my vision of heaven...gorgeous whitewashed interiors...*sigh*...clean, crisp, and comfy are the 3 c's of interiors and these fit the bill...and only in heaven would I be able to do a room like this and *KEEP* it white!!!
